What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?

I am the “Jill of All Trades” – I fix problems!  I love being able to help in a myriad of positions, whether its helping to hold an upset animal, discussing payment concerns with clients to ensure that pets get the care they need, fixing computer/ phone/ printer issues, or organizing paperwork and files – as long as its helpful I like to do it!

What are you passionate about professionally?  What excites you most about your work and the contribution you make?

I really love working with rescues.  My favorite part of rescue is the rehab – helping animals that have come from negative situations (for example, abuse or neglect) to regain not only their physical health, but also their mental and emotional health.  Nothing is more rewarding than watching the progress of an animal that previously would not look at you to welcoming a friendly touch and enjoying being around people.  Helping them regain that trust and show them love really pulls at my heart.

Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?

I love being creative and exploring.  My hobbies include painting, sketching, creating collages, making jewelry, trying new recipes, photography, and writing.  I’m also a horror and cult movie fan. I love finding out the “little known facts” or catching the “goofs” in movies and TV shows.

What would be impossible for you to give up?

It is probably a tie between cheese and sushi! If sushi is on the menu, it’s a sure bet that is what I’ll be ordering!

Who are the most important people in your life?

My family and best friends.  My parents have always been incredibly supportive of my goals and have stood by me and my little sister to offer advice and a shoulder. I have also been blessed with a few strong, core friends who have stuck around through the good times and the bad, and they are family in my eyes.  I certainly don’t know where I’d be without them in my life!

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?

I really enjoy learning about alternative healing and spiritual beliefs.  I have taken many world religion classes (including a Chinese Medicine class in college) and was hooked.  I am a strong believer in the energy of everything – almost a combination of quantum physics/mechanics with spirituality.  I practice aromatherapy and am working on my certification. I also am fascinated by chakra healing with methods such as crystal and sound therapies, Healing Touch, and Reiki.  Meditation and yoga are also a part of my daily activities.
