Dr. Dave Schur earned his veterinary degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary medicine in 2010, after graduating from Tulane University. (Geaux Tigers!)  He then accepted an education opportunity with a rotating internship focused on internal medicine, surgery, dermatology and oncology at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in San Francisco, CA.

Over the past 10 years, Dr. Dave has been a practicing veterinarian, primarily on the west coast in Eugene, Oregon. In 2020, Dr. Dave relocated to the Raleigh area.  In his practice, he has developed several special interests: canine and feline internal medicine; dermatology and diagnostic ultrasound.  Oregon prepared Dr. Dave well for North Carolina’s environmental allergens, since Oregon has so many, so he comes to us with expertise in the medical management of allergic dermatitis, allergy testing and immunotherapy.

Dr. Dave is a single father and very proud “girl Dad”  of his daughter Abby.  Though originally from Madison Wisconsin, Dr. Dave and his daughter enjoy North Carolina’s natural beauty and outdoor activities. They love to hike, camp, do water sports and play outside. Dr. Dave’s family includes four-legged members, a dog named Oliver, and a lady cat, they call Billie.
