Training for Dogs and Puppies
Proper obedience training and socialization are basic needs of any dog. Our goal at Harmony Pet Resort & Spa is to help dog owners build a positive, healthy, and mutually cooperative relationship and bond with their dogs.
In our training programs at Harmony, we teach puppies and dogs to:
- Be responsive to their owners
- Create life-saving boundaries
- Develop desirable behaviors
- Correct poor behaviors
Harmony offers several training program options:
Obedience Day Training Program
This program is a once-a-week day program for those who want to drop their dog off at Harmony.
Includes:
- A Training Action Plan that is individually tailored to your dog’s needs and your goals
- Basic obedience training, as well as more refined, advanced obedience training
- Informational handouts for at-home training and progress logs to keep track of your dog’s hard work are all presented in a handy folder for you to take home
- Weekly session recaps of your dog’s day of training and homework to keep progress moving at home
- A longer recap session in the final week to discuss maintenance training, long-term goals, and what to expect moving forward
Days available: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
Pricing: 4-week, weekly Obedience Training sessions: $360
Behavior Modification Day Training Program
This program is a once-a-week day program for those who want to drop their dog off at Harmony.
Includes:
- A Training Action Plan that is individually tailored to your dog’s needs and your goals
- Training that will help mold new, productive skills and reduce unwanted behavior whether your dog struggles with leash reactivity, sound phobias, high prey drive, or other issues
- Training that is geared towards dogs who need more than good manners, but includes obedience training to ensure your pup is well-rounded
- Informational handouts for at-home training and progress logs to keep track of your pup’s hard work, all presented in a handy folder for you to take home
- Weekly session recaps of your dog’s day of training as well as homework to keep goals moving forward at home
- A longer recap session in the final week to discuss maintenance training, long-term goals, and what to expect in the future
Days available: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
Pricing: 6-week, weekly Behavior Modification Package: $540
Board-and-Train Program
This program is for dogs who are boarding at Harmony and includes:
- A Training Action Plan that is individually tailored to your dog’s needs and your goals
- A comprehensive go-home folder with training curriculum, training logs, and guides
- Two follow-up sessions of Day-Training are included with this Board-and-Train package that occur two weeks out and four weeks out after completion of the boarding stay (this is bundled into the initial price)
- Dogs will be in I-Play or doggie daycare Saturdays and Sundays based on their individual needs and prior history of daycare behavior
- Daily updates and photos will be sent Mon-Fri to all Board-and-Train clients to document progress and ease the burden of leaving your dog for an extended time frame
- Weekly visits with your dog may be permitted depending on your dog’s unique training goals; visits will be scheduled on Thursday or Friday with the trainer to discuss how training is going
Days available: Monday-Friday. Dogs can be dropped off on the prior Friday or Saturday.

- 5 Day Board and Train (Mon-Fri): $738
- 14 Day Board and Train: $1431
- 21 Day Board and Train: $2160
Private Consultations
If you are unsure where to start with your dog training, a private consultation is a great way to discuss your dog’s problem areas with our Head Trainer before committing to a package. Together you and the Trainer will determine the best option for you and your dog and set goals based on your needs and time frame.
Days available: Thursdays and Fridays after 3 PM
Pricing: $30 for a 30-45min appointment
