Jodi Reed, DVM

Dr. Jodi Reed graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 – Go Gators!! After completing a rigorous one-year internship in West Los Angeles, she practiced in Redondo Beach for a year before moving to Apex in 2003 to be closer to family. After practicing for eight years and working at several different vet hospitals, she proudly opened Harmony Animal Hospital off Ten-Ten Road in May of 2009. With the new expansion just across the street, the extended services offered in this state-of-the-art facility include boarding, doggie daycare, grooming, rehabilitation services, holistic care, and more.

In addition to being a practicing general practitioner (GP) veterinarian and owner of Harmony Animal Hospital, Dr. Jodi has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and general veterinary dentistry. She has successfully completed the Veterinary Dental Practitioner program through the International Veterinary Dental Institute (IVDI). This is a one-year training and assessment course to ensure exceptional skills in providing oral care for pets in general practice.

Since 2019, she has been honored to work with her mentor Dr. Brett Beckman, Board Certified Veterinary Dentist and IVDI founder, at his Atlanta veterinary dentistry practice helping pets live better lives through proper oral care, as well as, his co-instructor in training other GP’s to become the best in the field of general practice veterinary dentistry and helping them to successfully accomplish the Veterinary Dental Practitioner course.

In her personal time, Dr. Jodi loves spending time with her family, including her husband, Jason, and three daughters, Kayla, Olivia, and Sophia. She currently has one dog — Marshall (German shepherd husky mix) — as well as three cats named Kalulu, April, and Sparrow. In addition, her family has a flock of chickens, and her daughter Kayla has a ball python named Tai.

Her favorite hobbies are scuba diving, photography, traveling, and working with several pet rescue organizations through Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic (HARC) in Harmony Animal Hospital’s former location.

Dr. Jodi loves every aspect of being a veterinarian for cats and dogs. It’s of the utmost importance to Dr. Jodi that you feel Harmony Animal Hospital is part of your pet’s care team. In her opinion, creating personal bonds with her clients and their fur-babies is the best part of being a general practitioner. Dr. Jodi and her experienced caring team will always treat your pets as if they were our own!

The Veterinary Dental Practitioner program provides additional study, training, and assessment to enhance a GP veterinarian’s knowledge and skills in veterinary dentistry, but upon completion of the program are NOT board-certified specialists.
