FULL-TIME Veterinary Assistant
Reports To: Lead Veterinary Assistant
Wage: $8-10 per hour expected but based on experience

Our compassionate staff utilizes the latest technology and techniques to provide quality medicine through a complete suite of whole-life services including wellness and preventative care, general medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, advanced dentistry, acupuncture, consultations, spaying and neutering, and emergency care. FULL TIME approximately 36-40 HOURS PER WEEK.

The Veterinary Assistant is the veterinary nurse’s/technician’s primary support. They assist in restraining pets and test set up for the examination procedure. They aid the nurses/technicians in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of some of the routine work. They have a very significant role in freeing up the nurses/technicians to assist the veterinarian with medical procedures. Applicants can expect to spend a significant amount of time cleaning the hospital, bathing dogs, and even helping with discharging patients. This is an entry-evel position with potential for growth. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR MORNING, EVENING, & WEEKEND SHIFTS, AS WELL AS WEEKEND TREATMENTS on a rotating basis.

-High school diploma or equivalent
-Previous On-The-Job training desirable, but not necessary

Previous animal care background is desirable, but not necessary.
