Kiley Daube, DVM is originally from Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine on the Virginia Tech campus in 2011. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, she worked as a graphic designer at a small design firm in Washington, D.C.
After finishing her doctorate degree at veterinary school, she completed additional training through a rigorous internship in small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine at a busy private practice referral center in Fairfax, VA.
During this internship, Dr. Kiley developed a particular interest in cancer in companion animals and decided to pursue a specialized internship in Veterinary Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Veterinary School in Philadelphia, PA. During this time, she not only helped diagnose and treat dogs and cats with a wide variety of cancers but also managed patients participating in oncologic clinical trials through the university. Aside from being on the front line of cutting-edge treatments, she loved the bond that she was able to develop with these animals and their families during their treatments.
After completing this training, Dr. Kiley and her husband were tired of the cold Philly weather so they moved their family to the South – first to Charleston, SC – where she practiced in shelter medicine and then private practice.
After a relocation due to her husband’s job, they finally ended up in the Triangle area where she is thrilled to have joined the team at Harmony Animal Hospital!
Dr. Kiley has professional interests in oncology, surgery, and internal medicine. A perpetual learner, she is excited to continue to develop these interests and foster new ones through the high quality medicine performed at Harmony.
She currently resides in Apex with her husband, Jeff and their two young children – their daughter Eleanor and their new son, Henry.
Their 4-legged family include a goofy hound dog – Zack Morris (a redbone coonhound) and three bossy cats – Kitty, Zoey, and Oliver.
