Dr. Jodi Reed graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 – go Gators!! After completing a rigorous internship in West Los Angeles, she practiced in Redondo Beach for a year before moving to Apex in 2003 to be closer to family. After practicing for eight years and working at several different vet hospitals, she proudly opened Harmony Animal Hospital in May of 2009. With the new expansion across the street, the extended services offered will include boarding, doggie daycare, grooming, rehabilitation services, nutrition services, holistic care, and more.
Dr. Jodi’s special interests are soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She’s also involved in many veterinary-related organizations, including American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine (NCASAM), and Wake County Veterinary Association. It is through these organizations that Dr. Jodi is able to keep up with the latest in veterinary medicine and attend cutting-edge conferences and continuing education (CE) seminars on a regular basis. Dr. Jodi continues to provide the most progressive veterinary medicine available.
In her personal time, Dr. Jodi loves spending time with her family – husband Jason, and three daughters Kayla, Olivia, and Sophia. She has four dogs, Cash (yellow lab), Hank (golden mix), Lilly (pomchikingese), and Marshall (German shepherd husky mix), as well as five cats named Peeps, Kalulu, April, Sparrow, and Whisper. In addition, she has a bearded dragon named Puff and a flock of chickens.
Her favorite hobbies are scuba diving, photography, traveling, training daily at Burn Boot Camp, and working with several pet rescue organizations.
Dr. Jodi loves every aspect of being a veterinarian for cats and dogs. It’s of the utmost importance to Dr. Jodi that you feel Harmony Animal Hospital is part of your pet’s care team. In her opinion, creating personal bonds with her clients and their fur-babies is the best part of being a general practitioner.
