About Dr. Jodi Reed
Dr. Jodi Reed graduated from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine 2001. After completeing a rigorous interniship in veterinary medicine, surgery and critical care in West Los Angeles, she moved to Apex in 2003. The last eight years of being a veterinarian has made owning an animal hospital a long time dream of hers...which is now a reality!
Dr. Jodi loves every aspect of being a general practitoner for cats and dogs. Her special interests are soft tissue surgery, as well as, routine and advanced dentistry. Her focus is on keeping your pets happy and healthy. However, when unforseen illnesses and injuries occur, Dr. Jodi and her experienced, caring staff will treat your pets as if they were our own.
Dr Jodi is involved in many veterinary related organizations, including American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine (NCASAM),
and Wake County Veterinary Association. It is through these organizations that Dr. Jodi is able to keep up with the latest in veterinary medicine and attend cutting edge conferences and continuing education seminars.
In her personal time, Dr. Jodi loves spending time with her family: husband Jason, daughters Kayla and Olivia, and her four legged babies Cash (Yellow Lab), Harley (Pit Bull Border Collie Mix), and Copper (15 year old kitty). Her favorite hobbies are scuba diving, snow skiing, and training for sprint triathlons. She has volunteered one Sunday a month since 2006 performing spays and neuters for Second Chance Pet Adoptions rescue organization. She also enjoys speaking to kids from preschool to high school about being a veterinarian. Her dog Harley often accompanies her on these little talks -which is always a big hit!
